
Lucille J. Cox, M.D.
Dr. Cox was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She first fell in love with Middle Tennessee while attending Vanderbilt University, where she graduated magna cum laude in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She returned to Massachusetts to attend UMass Medical School, where she developed a passion for urology. Dr. Cox then completed her urology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. As a resident, Dr. Cox was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of her exemplary care and dedication to the profession of medicine.
Dr. Cox treats a wide variety of urologic conditions, and she performs laparoscopic, endoscopic, and open surgery. She practices general urology with a special interest in urologic oncology, BPH, kidney stones, and female incontinence. She is a member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Cox lives in Murfreesboro with her husband (a proud MTSU alum) and son. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, going to Preds games, and exploring all that Middle Tennessee has to offer. And, of course she always roots for the ‘Dores – Anchor down!
